I think I know all the French I needed for my recent time in France: “café noir s’il-vous-plaît” … and voila! French roasted espresso. We spent five wonderful days in France with excellent weather. More photos are sure to follow.

Last night we sat outside a pub called the repentant sister (the real name of it is in dutch). I enjoyed a most excellent glass of Chimay, a Belgian Abby beer.

I am a beginner coffee roaster. Darker roasts have been the norm for most of my roasting and I’ve been missing out on some flavours. I tried a lighter roast than usual this morning and I couldn’t wait to try it. I’m just now finishing a most excellent mug of Ethiopian Harar.
