pocket moleskine double pen holder
Here are photos of my simple molskine pen holder that i made and the steps i took to made it.
Step 1: measure the length needed by doubling the size of moleskine and adding a wee bit for clearance. The width was measured by the space needed for two pens and then tripled.
Step 2: cut paper from used 20 kg bag of oat flakes. The oat flakes bag was tripled for strength but i found that to be too thick so i removed one layer. If you want to do this and are using a regular paper bag, i suggest doubling it.
Step 3: fold in three lengthwise then back again. In center section cut slits with sharp knife to line up with where the pen should enter and exit. Note, i tried to match the curve at sides of slits with the corner curve of the moleskine for extra style.
Step 4: fold back the previous threefold. reinforce the knife-cut edges with clear tape.
Step 5: fold length of paper around moleskine cover making sure not to make it too tight or too loose.
Step 6: join edges together with generous amount of tape.
My pen holder easily slides on and off and holds all the pens/pencils i need. At first it looked too bulky to me but i found that it still fit in my pocket no problem.
